We've been getting some awesome thunderstorms here in Austin. I love them, bring 'em on! Rainy days compliment all my favorite things...hot coffee, wildflowers, watching movies, good conversation, cuddling, roaring fires and of course...PAINTING! I have been in the zone all weekend getting things done, primarily my last series of paintings where I'm taking metallics and mixed media an extra step forward. Can't wait to post them....

Mono, we met awhile back and wrapped up a rather strange yet very engaging evening at Z Tejas. I wanted to tell you I just got a chance to check out your work and I am impressed. Your warm colors fit my taste and would compliment my place very well. Do you use acrylics on most of the pieces displayed on your site?
Hey Brandon, yes, surreal time we had--we'll blame it on the emotionally provocative nature of art!...Yes, most of my work is done with acrylics on canvas. I have found this to be the most workable medium for producing the sculptural quality and rich textures you'll find in my paintings. Several of my pieces are are done in mixed media as well.
